Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Julia A. Lopez Child Development Center. Our Center is a California State Preschool that also provides free or low-cost childcare services for families in need of childcare for children 3 to 5 years of age. Eligibility is primarily based on income, family size, and need. Applications are ranked by these criteria and not "first come, first served."
To qualify for childcare services, parents must be either working or attending school on a full-time basis. If you are seeking employment or incapacitated, you may also qualify. Please fill out the application and return it to the office with the following documentation for eligibility:
1. Child’s current immunization record up to date. (Must include a TB skin test within the last year.)
2. Copy of your child’s most recent physical (must be within the past year.)
3. Parent(s) current income from all sources (check stubs) for the last month. Examples include Paystubs, welfare, disability, child support, unemployment, etc. For parents with
fluctuating income due to agricultural, migrant or seasonal work, income is computed by averaging income from the 12 months preceding the initial certification.
4. Training or school registration schedule if attending school.
5. Birth certificates for ALL children in the home under 18.
6. Proof of residency (Current Utility bills)
